Corresponding authors submitting the manuscript must indicate the preferred sections and a minimum of two peer-reviewers among the list of experts in the selected fields are nominated by ME (Managing Editor) upon EIC (Editor In Chief), AE (Associate Editors) and Editorial Board Members (EBM) indication among the referees assembled and constantly updated by ME in terms of their total H index, patent index, prototypes and total Impact Factor normalized by average number of co-authors and author position (namely as first author and as last author).
Corresponding authors ranking and selection for the subsequent review process based on the number and the total impact factor of the very best papers published as first author and as last author in the top SCI journals with impact factor included in the very top deciles (10 out of 10). This new criterion for measuring excellence called “NWJ Impact Points” is calculated and illustrated in the article "How Bibliometric Indicators Should Be Used to Assess Excellence in Science and Technology" published in 2016 by the EIC Nicolini Claudio.
Upon AE and/or EBM and/or referee’s recommendations’ selected papers are finally accepted by the EIC in terms of adherence to the NWJ's editorial policies for the submitted papers defined in the NWJ Scope, Aims & Topics.
NanoWorld Journal (NWJ) is a quarterly peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, letters to editor, and technical notes on the solutions through Nanotechnology and Nanosciences to the problems facing the world in the key sectors of energy, environment, space, hardware and cancer in order to achieve significant progress with the involvement of overall society in a dedicated sixth section of the Journal. The scope of the NWJ is centered in the key sectors from which depends human progress and survival, with the aims to enhance worldwide cooperation in Research and Development. With the NWJ we aim to provide the highest coverage to these fields in order to achieve the scope to help to overcome problems too frequently underestimated and growing from energy to environment and natural disasters, from cancer to hardware and space.
Attempts to solve these problems at the national scale so far failed partly because the magnitude of the economic crisis and largely because the magnitude of the technological problems unmatchable at the scale of any single nation regardless of its size. Temperatures and carbon pollution are raising worldwide with extreme climate changes and increase in public health threats appear associated with extreme weather. Incidentally global carbon dioxide is on the rise synchronously with global temperature and sea water level. At the same time are more intense everywhere energy wastes, droughts, wildfires, hurricanes, super storms and floods. Similarly cancer appears strongly interlinked to differentiation, ageing and proliferation, and to solve it only an approach quite more focussed on the molecular quantitative scale is immediately needed correlating to all pending problems in medicine (ageing, viral transformation, metastasis) for human race survival. Similarly hardware stands still at the inorganic level where gallium arsenide and silicon justify the old statement "garbage in garbage out" for any existing computer regardless the nanoscale being reached.
Cell automata, single electron devices and quantum computing is far from being an experimental reality despite enormous efforts and resources being spent. Other routes must be sought but apparently not those based on conductive polymers providing only insights on new architectures but never materialized in stable reproducible devices or computers, despite hopes being raised at the onset. Similarly for Cancer where we stand even at lower level of scientific and technological achievements and where people die worldwide at the same rate and treatment survival improve only apparently since cancer is detected quite earlier by the modern screening test. The dramatic failure is apparent but hospital and research institutes claim a non-existing progress at all levels and for all organs. NWJ will accept only molecular studies carried out with most advanced studies down to the nanoscale. Also in the Energy sector hospitaly will be given to any new route experimentally and theoretically sound, being cold or hot nuclear fusion and hydrogen storage or utilization at the nanoscale.
All the above well known challenges are in front of humanity and the time is running out on us very fast. The above considerations bring to define the content of the NWJ organized in six major sectors, namely five ones strictly scientific and technological being strictly energy, cancer, hardware, space and environment, and one very broad named society open instead to the needed political, industrial and social contributions to the solution of the above problems. As Editorial Policy the priority will be given on one side to the papers capable to make a concrete difference on the present situation in each of the five indicated scientific and technological sectors with transversal contributions from the production of innovative nanomaterials, and on the other side to the contributions to the sector society from governments, industries and politicians to induce concrete progress rather than generic statements and interest.

Energy: Low-carbon technologies, Alternative fuel sources, Biodiesel, Energy conservation and efficiency, Cold and hot nuclear fusion, Greenhouse gas emissions, Solar energy, Wind energy, Biomass, Polymeric batteries, Hydrogen storage and utilization.
Environment: Natural resources, Nanomaterials, Water, Radiation, Oil spills, Disaster management, Nuclear weapons and Disasters, Wild life, Climate change, Air pollution, Mineral resources, Fossil fuels, Carbon dioxide pollution, Waste, Droughts, Wildfires, Hurricanes, Super storms, Floods.
Space: Solar system, Planets, Galaxies, Space shuttles, Rockets, Unmanned spaceplanes, Comets, Meteoroids, Space weather, Astrophysics, Space missions.
Hardware: Molecula electronics, Conductive polymers and biopolymers, Communication, Computer systems and architectures, Sensors, Actuators, Devices, Storage, Neural networks, Cell automata, Single electron devices, Quantum Computing.

Science and Society: Political, Legislative, Industrial and Economical contributions to World Peace and Science needed for human survival and Technological growth.
By properly organizing the Editorial Board NWJ aims to find a solution across opposite nations to the open problems of the above key sectors in order to achieve the scope to close a circle which otherwise could lead to the end of humans survival. The founding Editor-in-chief for life of NWJ is Prof. Claudio Nicolini, one of the most honoured scientists in the leading countries of both the East and the West, and across the most diversified disciplines.

NWJ - Space section, with emphasis on SWaP
- The high cost of escaping Earth’s gravity is the dominant factor that continues to limit large scale exploration and exploitation of space. With continuous technology advances, the cost of space launch is gradually decreasing, however, it is still several thousand dollars per kilogram. Lowering the cost of access to space therefore remains a major policy objective for space agencies all over the globe. A large fraction of the weight of a rocket is fuel and expendable rocket stages. Recent introduction of the reusable rocket stages is a major step in reducing the launch cost. Work is also underway to develop alternatives such as ground-based, beamed energy propulsion, which would revolutionize space launch systems.
